Some fun facts about our 9 cohort members: Our cohort have all completed or taken college level Ojibwe and many have been in immersive language settings! They each bring in unique language experiences to our cohort! 

 

All live and work in our service area (RL, LL and WE areas), and all cohort members are either enrolled band members of our service area OR enrolled/direct descendant of Ojibwe tribes here in MN. Which means our cohort is 100% Ansihinaabeg. Also, many of our cohort members are Ojibwe language teachers in our service area!!!!!

 

We originally were only able to bring on 8 cohort members. And, last minute, we were able to have a 9th come on board!!! Which is AWESOME!!

 

We WILL have future opportunities for cohorts and upcoming language classes in the near future! Again, a HUGE miigwech to ALL applicants and all who shared our posts, helping Nisookamig get the word out! We are a young organization and we appreciate all of the support.
